Well, so, sometimes, the false dichotomy is sort of appealing, from the perspective of simplifying a complex problem, or breaking something down to a black-and-white view of things, or for laughs. But other times, the false dichotomy really covers up a lot of important nuance in a situation. Then it's less appealing. You know?
