Arthur/Gwen/Uther fic - More than just the influence of a servant

This is the first of two fics that come out of a recent discussion on Camelot_love regarding Gwen’s relationship with Uther (or lack of it), how it will be shaped in the future, how we want Uther to see the ‘inner queen’ in Gwen and then to realise just how much see remind him of Igraine.

I'm glad you made Uther somewhat human in this one. He's not such a bad guy when he thinks about his actions. It's just how he goes about them that irks people.

glad you liked it, i get these ideas and am never sure on if people will like them! i wanted a more human side to uther, just to show that he does have another side to him, even if we dont see alot of it!

Oh... I really loved it, it is really believable and well-written, but the last sentences made me sad, while I was reading them I listened Coldplay's "Postcards From Far Away" and I almost cried. :(

again thanks for the comment and totally agree. we get the 'king' side of uther and not the 'softer' side. he obviously cares about his arthur and morgana but doesnt seem to know how to go about expresing his opinion to them, like he does regarding business of the realm

great writing it was nice to see uthers side but i wish he would just forget about tradition and let them be happy. nice comparisons with uthers wife and gwen. i loved it

i know there is part of me that so wants him to forget about tradition and just let arthur be happy with gwen, like he was with Igraine! go on uther, be nice, arthur deserves someone like Gwen!
