I just noticed that I typically include an obscene number of parenthetical statements and clauses and an absurd number of appositives in my writing.  But that's also how I tend to think and speak, so I suppose it's ok.

Online writing or official writing?

I abuse parentheses like crazy online, so when it comes time to write something fancy-ish that I need to turn in, I have to convert them all into - and ; and : to camouflage them XD
