Everything is completed. The lawyers have gotten back to me and it's all on the up and up. I'm now the proud owner of a very lovely place right near the highschool devision of Hyoutei. It is nether you nor your event's fault. It's father. His goal in life is to remind me who I am and what that means for me. It's his way of re-asserting his control as I grow older and more independant.

I can still regret that trouble came of it, even if such trouble is inevitable. As for his goal in life: it seems counter productive. Unless he is actually aiming to make you stronger, and by your description that does not seem to be the case.

I doubt it's his only goal; though it certianlly feels like it at the moment. I think he worries that his soul heir will crack under pressure or worse yet (and more likely) decide not to continue with the family tradition of running the corperation. By constantly reminding me of my place and my legacy, it reminds me of how fortunate I am and how much I owe.

You owe me nothing. You know that. You are indeed. One of my best. And thank you for the offer. If it gets too bad, I might take you up on it, however, I doubt it, because I don't wish to drag Genichirou or yourself into my family matters. I suspect it will be a lecture, a guilt trip and then he'll be on his way out of my life again until it's time for me to either start dating the girls he chooses for me or I need to start picking a college. Then we will do this all over again.
