Fan dub sucks in my opinion. I think that Avatar can be a hard show to get into if you just jump onboard mid-show. I'd say the only real way to do it would be to watch it from the begining and give it an honest chance. The show has a very well structured begining as it gives a feel for the whole series.

I honestly wouldn't just pick a random set of episodes, because I don't think they'll have the same effect if he doesn't have any interest in the characters.

normally i would agree but i am trying to win him over and to do that i have to fight my way past the anti-english sentiment. So i want to episodes to impress him and draw him into the series. So far i am leaning towards the two-part season one finale the siege of the north. They are good episodes that give people a taste of everything the show has to offer.

I love the show.. I think dubs are ok.. But the fan dub of this sucks the big one. I like japanese but not the dubs. I like both ok I also like making fun of the vocies that is the whole point of it to me.. Well thats because I am just a gay bitch. So if your friend is like I hate dubs then that really sad you miss so much... Oh well if you can't get him to join thats his loss. So anyway I need to stop with my weirdo ness and leave you now.
