Books, movies, and dreams.
That's a pretty sweet title. But I'm serious. I'm been without computer access for a week, so now I'm going to write a really long post.
Pawley's Island was fun. As long as you don't stay in the basement, it's not too buggy. XD It was nice to spend a week just swimming and reading (and occassionally celebrating 50th wedding anniversaries.) Also, I am super-duper tan right now! I wish I could put my tan-ness on pause until the beginning of next summer, when I'll be really pale again...
So we went to the bookstore and bought some Death Note, yay. I still want 6. And then Grandma bought us all these fantasy books, including two I especially liked. The titles are Wolfskin and the sequel, Foxmask. It's like a Viking version of Smallville! These two guys swear to be blood brothers, but then one of the guys starts being evil, and the other guy has to fight him. There's a girl in there too. Anyway, I like it. But that's just me...
We also saw The Devil Wears Prada and John Tucker Must Die. DWP was ok. Her boyfriend was really cute! But I really liked John Tucket Must Die! Well, I just like all chick flicks. But I thought it was very funny and cute. Except in the beginning, I was like, "well, I'd feel a lot more sorry for you if you weren't so pretty..." But I couldn't help but identify with herione anyway. And the jerky guy reminded me of a jerky guy I know... and I liked the hippy slut and the cute brother. So, overall, it was very cute. ^__^
Ok, now the fun part! I had just been talking to Celia about TIP and AWA, and I had these funny dreams. In the first one, I was at school, except Sarah (TIP Sarah) was there too. We (us and some other people) made a plan to cut class and catch a plane to the anime con, and then we were all sitting outside in the playground (yes, our highschool had a playground) waiting for the bus. So I was on this seesaw thing, and then I saw this big light flash on. You know those things that they have on college campuses that you're supposed to press if someone's stalking you? Kind of like that, except it was a trafic light. So just the green light came on. I looked down and I saw it was Sarah pressing it. So I was kinda like, "Sarah, what are you doing?" but I was too far away and she couldn't hear me. And then she pressed it again, and the orange light came on. So I jumped off the seesaw and ran over to her, and was like, "Teachers are going to see that light and we'll get in trouble for skipping class!" But Sarah said, "There are worse things than skipping class," and I looked over to the other side of the table that she was sitting on and I saw a bunch of people drinking beer and stuff. So I understood that Sarah was telling the teachers so that we would just get in trouble for cutting class and not for drinking beer, which was a lot worse. But as she pressed the button and the red light turned on, I was still kind of pissed that I didn't get to go to the anime con. And that was the end of that dream. XD
But in my next dream, I was at AWA. It was me and Jane and Dad... seriously, I think that in my subconcious I think it's me who's going, not Celia. Otherwise I wouldn't be so hyped about it. Anyway. So we met this family with a bunch of kids Jane's age, and Dad was talking to their dad, and I was like, "whatever." But they told us about this great new game, that was like DDR but better. It was called "911 Dance". (Where does my subconcious get these things?) So we all went to look for it. Jane and Dad went to look under the D section of video games (yeah, the con had a big video game store arranged in alphabetical order), for "Dance, 911", I guess. But I went to look under the 9s. I looked and looked, but I guess this was the very end of the games, because everything was all broken and falling over and stuff. But then I saw this hot guy in some anime costume I didn't recognize playing a little demo, and I realized that the game he was playing was 911 Dance! When he stepped a certain way, it killed all his enemies (who were little cartoon people.) So I was like, "that looks better than DDR," and we decided to buy it. Anyway, I was in my (Celia's) Toya costume, and I suddenly realized that I had forgotten to get a tie! I just had the white shirt and the jacket. I saw a guy walking by, holding a bunch of ties, and I was like, "hey, can I please have a tie?" all politely, but he didn't even stop walking. So I ran around for a while looking for a tie, and I found a big tie store (yes, there was a big tie store in the anime con.) I found the perfect tie and I was like, "hey, can I just wear this tie for the rest of today and then return it?" But they said no. So I failed in my quest for a tie. And then I woke up. But I told Celia about this, and later she dreamt about 911 Dance, too. XD
Wow, did anybody read all of that? =P
