I am continuously bewildered that there are people who exist in this world who do not enjoy Italian cuisine.

I had assumed Italian food was one of those things that everybody liked, much like rainbows or kittens or a really fantastic pair of shoes.

Damned Italians put goddamn tomatoes in everything.

That statement is ever so slightly inaccurate. You are aware that tomatoes are not native to Italy?

Yeah, they came from America, but somewhere along the line the damned Italians started putting them in almost everything.

And the cheese shit sucks too. Seriously, I just want some goddamn fish.

While the Italians are admittidly over-fond of the red fruit, they do retain a few tomato-less dishes.

I recommend Zuppa di Vongole o Cozze in Bianco
for your soup (clam and mussels) and rosemary sage chops for your entree.

Alternativly, anything with a white sauce is tomato (and typically cheese)-free. The vast majority of dishes you order in a restaurant with tomato sauce all also available with a white sauce. If not, any restaurant worth visiting will cheerfully make the substitution for you.

Plain fish is, of course, available in any supermarket.

Well they use noodles in most of the dishes, so I'm not complaining. It's not hard to pretend it's Ramen then dig on in. Considering I haven't eaten a home cooked meal in a good long while, I ain't complaining.

I'll eat anything so long as it's edible.

Only you would compare Italian noodle dishes to ramen Yusuke...

I'll eat anything so long as it's edible.

I`ve noticed. And some things that most doctors would consider inedible as well.

Nothing wrong with that. It helps foreign foods go down a lot faster.

At least I don't eat trash. There are boundaries as to what can be eaten.

Obviously accepting the time you scooped that manju bun out of the trash can and chomped down on it.

I don't like kittens. They're annoying and they scratch up everything.

How do you feel about rainbows and excellent shoes?

Rainbows are stupid and I hate shoes.

It's not bad, but there are times I would like some of the foods I grew up with. I suppose that is normal, though.

Perfectly understandable.

It`s less people`s personal preferences that have me confused as the concept that beings exist who dislike Italian cooking all together.

I mean, not all of it is slathered in garlic and tomato sauce. Tomatoes aren`t even native to Italy after all!

Might be the fact it's over-seasoned crap.

Aha! So it`s the seasonings that disturb your stomach!

In that case, I would advise against visiting India or Korea. And possibly Mexico as well...
