Hello - I saw your post about Vitamin D during first trimester, on a forum. I'm in a similar situation. Do you mind sharing what you ended up going with? I'm 6 weeks and my Vitamin D is low (11), so OB said to bump up dosage to 10K IU. I'm not sure that's wise!

Hello :) I ended up taking 2000 IU a day. At first, my OBGYN told me to take 4000 IU daily but then she consulted a perinatologist and together they concluded that 2000 IU was the best dosage. I took 2000 daily throughout my pregnancy. I also did my absolute best to expose my skin to mild sunshine. Sunlight exposure is a lot more effective when it comes to boosting Vitamin D levels. By the time I was 30 weeks along my vitamin D levels were up at 30-something (I started out at 9 or something like that). Good luck with your pregnancy! :)
