Try as I might, I'm afraid there's still a lot I need to know about this world and its holiday traditions. This is a far cry from a complaint, of course.  I have always enjoyed learning and acquiring new information, even it's mundane knowledge.

This being the case, would anyone be so kind as to tell me what this Valentine's Day is all about?

Simply stated, Valentine's Day (at least in Japan) is where women give chocolate to their friends and loved ones. In return men give a gift in March to those who they received chocolate from.

I'm not sure about other countries, or here. I apologize.

[Tada! Hi hun!]

Ah, I see. Do you happen to know if there is any particular reason for the gift exchange, like we have with the Christmas festivities?

((ooc: Why, hello there! :D))

I believe it is meant to show your affections to someone. Girls share chocolate with their friends, but as far as I understand, by their mid-teens they might also give chocolate to boys they like.

I wasn't one to follow holidays.

Were you not? That's a pity. I'm not familiar with them, but I think they're amusing nonetheless.

Also, thank you for telling me so much about Valentine's Day. It really does sound like a day for celebrations.

Valentine's Day is celebrated on February, 14th! Where I come from, girls have to give chocolate to their friends, and a special, home-made chocolate for the boy they like.

I think people celebrate it differently in other places, though... Eriol-kun once told me that, in England, it's usually men who give out presents to women.

[Yuuko-muse sends her regards. She says this thread is too creepy for her to join. XD]

Ah, so it's less than a month away, right? No wonder people are already talking about it and making plans...

Thank you, Sakura-san. Are you giving anyone chocolates this year?

((ooc: Yuuko-muse can't run forever, you know. XD))

Hoee... I always give out chocolates to otou-san, onii-chan and my friends, but they're not here...

But I've made friends in this city, so I'll give it to them instead!

[Yuuko says she can! xD]

Ah, that is a great idea. I'm sure they will appreciate your gifts.

((ooc: ...you know, it would be interesting to see what would happen if both Clows were to put Yuuko to the wall. >D))

I do believe, from what has been instilled upon me is that it is an event of which one expresses love to another?

So I've heard, Kuzonoha-san. I just find it curious to have one special day in the year dedicated solely to expressions of love, considering people should display their feelings on a daily basis.

I am in agreement, perhaps it is the rather 'live or let live' feeling of the day? The perhaps, last minute chance of confession? My own generation of youth confuses me...though I must admit, as far as confessions go--it is a rather idealistic...time...

Perhaps. Either way, I do find it a most lovely time of the year. Anything that takes people to higher spirits is worth giving a try, I believe.

Confessions? I suppose you're right, Kuzonoha-san. I myself would probably take the opportunity to express my feelings, if I hadn't already done so some time ago.

((ooc: Lol, he's amusing. XD))

I think Yuuko-san gave us chocolate for that once.

[ooc: Due to recent chapters, I am not entirely sure how to play Sakura in relation to Clow. 8D;; Since CLAMP doens't seem fit to explain anything.]

Ah, so you've celebrated Valentine's Day before, Sakura-hime?

((ooc: Awwh. D: How about playing her the way you've been doing up until now? We can ignore canon until CLAMP does give us answers. 8D Then again, we might have to ignore canon forever... XD))

[ooc: That's what I was planning on, really. XDD Silly CLAMP.]

Ah, I see. Is it true there is also an specific day in which people are supposed to return the gesture by giving presents to those they received chocolate from?

((ooc: More like evil, methinks. XDD))
