very catchy. Thanks so much, Sand. Aunt Alixe is really going to like this. I can see why it is fun to be learning Portuguese, just enough similar to Spanish to get the jist of what is being said. After two run throughs I found myself able to mumble along. Fun, fun.

It stopped raining today. I believe this is only the fourth day without rain since the beginning of June. We will try to clean out the garden tomorrow. As far as you know, is there any use for slugs? My hands turn yellow with the most amazing slime when I pick them up to whip them out into the street. Maybe it could be used to lubricate a gasket or to dye some stick-on type of ribbon. If we can think of a product, we will be in business. Good luck with the livers. My biggest liver is "in the house" now, big and relatively soft, not hobnailed. I wish you were here to feel it. just found a tumor in a left ventricle, apparently rare. Great. I'm going to try to cheer up about all this and find glee in pathology.
