If you're looking into web hosting, and I know you are, you may want to avoid ServerBeach. Here is my message to a listerve I host on a Serverbeach server regarding the fact that some people can't receive mail from it after a recent IP migration at our hosting company:

P.S. I'm also very sorry that its cold! I hope it you can figure it out by the time I get home! Much as I hate too-hot housing, I also don't function well when perpetually cold.
Meh. Human being animals and their silly biological climate preferences. -- and yet, we ignore that so often. Well, thanks to jackets and tailored clothing and indoor climate control. We exogenously regulate our temperature.

I figured it out. I called the landlord and he told me I basically had to reboot the furnace. :) He told me how and it works fien now. I think the pilot light went out and the furnace turns itself off automatically to make sure it doesn't leak gas out into the house.
