Thanks go of course to the lovely lady Pei (the fey?) who designed these in her usual manner of incredibly amazing artwork coupled with terrifying haphazard communication. It was a ( Read more... )

Hey, cool design. I particularly like the colour-scheme. It's just cool, the monochrome with the colour highlights.

I find the title font hard to read, though.

Its such crap that people dont read long entries... How bad would a persons attention span have to be not to be able to read 500 words?

Anyway, I love the artwork... Its great.

On the Strangelove front - have you attempted to do anything about acquiring the rights yet? I'm just curious to know what sorta battle (if any) that has been.

I understand that since I am a MUSEr you may want to keep some stuff under your hat re: Strangelove and thats perfectly fine too.

Props to you tho, for getting off your ass and actually writing something. I think thats amazing.

Rebecca :-)

There's no battle. We're just eager to not play our hand wrong from the outset and get a perfunctory cease and desist before we make a good pitch. We don't want to just fire off an email to WB without trying to find the very best way to approach Jan Harlan or anyone else we think owns the rights and work out exactly the best thing to say.

We only get one shot at this and we don't know how likely they would be to let us get our grubby student mitts all over their nice clean intellectual property.

I've got a couple of contacts to call - I want to ask some family friends who work closer to this kind of thing how they would suggest we should do it - then we'll draft a letter and send it to the best contact we can find - although at the moment its hard to even confirm who's running the Kubrick estate these days.
