Save the Books!

Seventy-one! Seventy-one books are on my shelf. A number that I am truly unhappy with. For someone like myself the number is very bland. If I had in my possession every book I have ever read, I would form my own library. I would need my own large room for manga and comic books by themselves. Vampire novels alone would require shelf after shelf. But ( Read more... )

I'm with you! Although I think that ebooks are amazing and SO useful, there's a huge difference in reading a hardcover Jane Austen book verses reading it on a screen. My sister has a kindle and got Pride and Prejudice for free, imagine my disgust ( ... )

I have been wanting to read that book! It sounds great I love anything revolving around the Tudors.

I tend to read a lot of books about vampires. Ever since I read Dracula I have be hooked to them. But unfortunately with the fame behind twilight it seems every other young adult book revolves around them in some form or another. The vampires today are practically human and I find it hard to pick a vampire book up now!

Sigh. My book case needs to grow to truly fit my personality. Lol

Something I didn't mention in my earlier post was the biggest reason I hate ebooks. Writes earn less per book. Which I think is insulting. They should get more then they make but now they make less. :(

OH, I completely agree! Especially since it is so much easier to illegally buy a book! I was reading Ted Dekker, a Christian author, and he had reached all time high for how many books were requested by ebooks, but what then he found out a lot of those books were illegally downloaded. It made me so furious because he spent months working on this book. *shakes head*

It's sad that they don't get as much money, but to be honest with you, I think people just want an easier way to buy/read books too.

I love 'real' vampires. The idea that something that could exist that is so terrifying is thrilling, but when they act more human than vampires...well there isn't much point in making them vampires. I've never read a story about vampires, other than the few fanfiction that I've read, but it is a intriguing idea. I wish it was done well more.

It is sad. Especially since I dream of being a writer!

When I write about vampires they are terrifying. I love them being scary.

I only read and write inuyasha fanfic. Lol and I don't like it when they make them vampires. Lol I'm currently reading one of your fanfics lol ^^
