Okay, really, for the good of the caravan. I've been hard at work updating the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Rules (You can see them at
http://besm.sandwich.net/FFCC/rules/ ). And now, I think I've worked all the mechanics out. But, there still lacks the background information, of which there will be lots. That being said, if you wish to begin chargen right now, (as some of you already have), feel free.
Nearby notable locations will be Selbina Beach, a common ground for testing new caravans, and to the west there is Gernon down. Further south meets up with a Miasma stream: crossing this stream leads to the Tipa Penensula, at which the Town of Tipa resides, as well as the River Belle Pass and Goblin Wall.
Sanriem is the starting city, and is very close to Selbina Beach. The region is named the Sanriem Gateway, and for good reason: Most trade that between the western part of the world and the eastern passes through this region. Sanriem is fairly clean and has about three thousand or so residents. Most amenities are there, as well as a few docks that are still in service. Sanriem is located on the eastern coast of the larger landmass: proceeding further north will lead to a miasma stream.
Past this stream is the Kerstantch Highlands, containing the mining village of Ramlia in the west, Kerstantch Woods covering most of the area, Nenva Caverns near the mining village, and Styrge River to the east. There's your basic geography lesson.
