Player: Ardweden | Games: Meme, Rules!
Here's a little meme/game I've been wanting to start. Sort the characters! The rules are as follows. I will start this by picking out a character and sorting them into one of the four Hogwarts Houses (Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff). I'll explain my reasons. Then, someone replies to this post and sorts one of my characters. Someone replies to *that* post and sorts one of their characters. And on.
If you're feeling particularly stuck inspired, you can sort someone's NPC as their GM'd character. Posts/responses can have more than one reply (so if more than one person wanted to sort an
zegon character, and he only sorted once, just respond to that same post).
Simple enough? I thought so! Here's a little guide to clear up confusion:
Gryffindor - Daring, Nerve, Chivalry, Bravery
Slytherin - Ambition, Cunning, Ends Justifying Means
Ravenclaw - Wit, Wisdom, Cleverness, Knowledge Lust
Hufflepuff - Just, Loyal, Unafraid of Hard Work
Please note the lack of Good, Evil, Smart, and Stupid from those lists. They don't belong there because they're not *supposed* to be there. Thank you.
So, let's get started! For my first sort, I'd like to pick my journal-partner (and brother!),
zegon. And for him...
Sort: Chomei Tochikura | Game: Mystery Club 2
Ah, Chomei! How we love you! And what a tough sort you will be. First of all, I'm ruling out Ravenclaw. Chomei's perfectly willing to learn, so long as he sees practical application to those skills. Beyond that, there were some things he probably could have looked up in different situations that could have made his teammates' lives easier, but he didn't. He's not particularly witty (always responding to Rei with "... Right", even though I'm *sure* she invites some excellent one-liners).
So now it's Gryffindor, Slytherin, or Hufflepuff. Chomei isn't particularly concerned about justice. In one of the sessions, he was perfectly willing to let a race that didn't exactly deserve to *die* because he was frustrated with them. Hufflepuff's ruled out, too, because I feel he has more Gryffindor and Slytherin in him.
Chomei is unafraid to strike first and alone. There's a certain amount of bravery there. He also has a definite ends-justifies-the-means quality to him; he'll never hurt people he cares about, but that's people he *cares* about. He is not, however, ambitious... in either direction. He hasn't put much effort into finding a cure for his demonic problem, and he hasn't embraced it, either. So, for his bravery and his chivalry towards Chie (admit it, he's very good to her), and the fact that given half a chance he'll go up, alone, against whoever's threatening her or him, I'm going to put him in Gryffindor.
