Kodie Andrews

So. Katie's a guy and grew up as one. How do things change? Let's find out. Kodie Andrews, I choose you!

He'd still be heterosocial - he'd likely get along better with girls than guys, and his interests wouldn't change very much. Instead of being a tomboyish girl (climbing trees and refusing to wear skirts), he'd be a "girly" guy (art and bird obsessed and generally more willing to talk instead of think with his balls). He'd still be more aggressive than Katie right off the bat, however; upon coming to Japan and being hazed, he'd try to strike back instead of hole up. So, yeah. More prone to violence early on.

Kodie would keep the insidious, low-level Katie charm where he'd worm his way into your heart before you realize what a jerk he can potentially be, and after you do, you like him anyway. He'd get snarky faster than Katie does, however, and he'd probably be more honest about a few things. He'd generally be pretty easy to get along with, especially in small doses where you aren't an idiot. (I'm talking to you, Haruko.) Still a perfectionist.

He would have Male Arcana Syndrome.

Player Character Relations:
Taki - Uh, well. I could see her getting a crush on Kodie, but if she doesn't do anything, it wouldn't work the other way around. If she *does*, or expresses interest, or he takes pity on her (well, he can), they'd probably go on a casual date or two before Kodie decides to call it off, because he really isn't interested in her that way. Other than that, she'd follow him and he'd mostly ignore her. Like usual.

Kyon - Kodie wouldn't take shit from Kyon, and things would explode earlier, then likely settle into a working relationship which basically involves a kind of respect where they don't admit how alike they are, and neither do you. Thank you. Any time they really disagree, things would probably get ugly again. Hello, M.A.S.

Satoshi - They'd get along well. Not best friends, but pretty good ones. I think Kodie would offer him advice much like Katie does (er, did). Satoshi'd probably respect and look up to him a bit. Kodie would try to get Satoshi to grow a spine and take Taki out on a real date already, dammit.

Haruko - Well... um... if Kodie isn't taken, Haruko would jump at the romantic prospect early on, as she likes smart, reasonably sensitive guys who show some spine and snark, but aren't total asses (I'm looking at you, Kyon). And Kodie'd bite, because he would like Haruko early on, and he'd want to see if they could get to know each other better during the relationship. Of course, once they *do* know each other better, things might fall apart unless Haruko gets her act together. But hey! Relationship in the making.

Kaede - Dude, Kodie'd feel sorry for Kaede. He'd try to help him out, but sort of at an arm's length. Small doses of help and keep his distance. Still, he'd generally respect him and do what he can for the guy. He'd probably try to get him out a little more. No sort of brother-sister relationship/friendship Katie and Kaede have, though.

Possible Universe Changes:
Kodie and Chikako might've gone out early on, but it wouldn't have lasted long. He'd think she's goofy and fun, but a little too flighty. He'd want to keep her as a friend, though, because goofy and fun and entertaining. Probably would continue to lightly flirt with her, if she could take it for what it's worth. (If not, he'd drop that.)

He'd hate Ken with the burning passion of a thousand suns plus one.

Akemi's hot! But, uh, Kodie likely wouldn't want her for a girlfriend. I mean, if she weren't seriously interested in him. She hits on way too many people, way too heavily, to go steady with, and Kodie isn't the sort of hard luck case she'd be interested in. Kaede can have her, and good for him. He could use an intelligent, bouncy girlfriend. Kodie would like her, though, and he'd probably be reasonable to good friends with her. (And feed her tips on how to bag Kaede, because see sentence before last.) There'd probably be some light flirting from his end.

Kodie'd keep Remi at the initial arm's length Katie does, and she'd likely cling to Kaede because of it. I laugh evilly. Some things never change. He'd be more sympathetic to Kyoko faster.

He'd like Eriko, but he'd so back off when he discovered (likely early on) that 1. she has no interest in him and 2. is lesbian. He'd probably try to strike some sort of friendship with her and at least a working relationship with Saki, though. Y'know, after the whole "Holy crap, she's a zombie and is gonna eat me!" thing wears off. As for Ryuji... well, he'd get along with him while thinking that he's boring.

He'd still want to kick Tenjirou's ass... probably earlier than Katie did. What? Just because he doesn't get raped or kidnapped by him doesn't mean that it's okay for someone *else* to get raped or kidnapped by him. Screw that. Similar with Yushiro: he'd act earlier. More proactive earlier in general. (Which may mean he ends up in the same place Katie does; he just falls a shorter distance.)

Gender-Swapped Relations:
Takeru - Punk. Kodie'd tolerate him, but he'd probably think he's an idiot much of the time, would tell him so, and generally not have much to do with him. He wouldn't want the guy getting hurt or anything, though, and they *do* need to get along, so he'd try to offer some decent advice through all of that and keep his distance after the initial I-don't-like-this-person phase wears off.

Haru - You know Katie and Haruko? Like that. Just with a higher chance of occasional violence.

And the others can get filled in as they come!

Yup. Knew I'd go into too much detail. And it can only get worse.
