The only boy that she really lets close is Soul, because they have this Meister/Weapon relationship, have seen into each other's soul (literally!) hundreds of times, and he understands and respects her trust boundaries. And even there, she's constantly dreading the other shoe dropping and him turning out to have been a cad all along).
bear that in mind.
(This is sort of a roundabout way of saying that if you have her hop right into a relationship with a boy she just met a week ago, you've just failed at Maka Albarn).

I've been playing around with her in dear mun and have mostly based her personality on who she is spoiler-wise for early in the game. (Sorry if that's vague, but I don't want to ruin it for someone!) What I'm looking for help on is later in the game.

In terms of characterization, Xion is quite and reserved--until she's around friends and people she trusts. She is unsure of her place in the world, and in the smaller sphere of the Organization. She fears having to face people when she can not live up to their expectations--even more so when failing means the end of her (which is an understandable fear).
I liken it to being back in freshman year as the new kid. You don't know if you'll make friends. You don't know if your abilities will take you anywhere, or if you even have abilities that will take you somewhere. But utmost, you are trying to find your place, and you wonder if you belong there or anywhere at all.
But that's just one view.
