Right my little chickadees, I have a proposal to throw into the ring: The idea of moving the game to Greatest Journal has been mooted. I suggest we talk over the pros and cons and then put it to a vote. Now, seeing as we're doing okay here, I think I'd want unanimous decision before any change is made rather than a majority. Personally, I don't want to change but that's purely because I am that lazy. I've used GJ on a couple of occasions and haven't loved it. No reason, just laziness. Also, I'm an eljay whore at this stage - my own journal is here, as well as other writing journals, etc. Did I mention the laziness?

However, you should probably discount my vote because my commitment to all RPs everywhere will pretty much stop from September because of really important exams and, well... being a doctor next year will give me zero free time. :\:((

I'll be keepng my own journal here for definate. Too many LJ contacts. ;) It just strikes me as a little silly to pay for things we can get for free on GJ, yanno?

Oh, totally. You'd have to pry my own journal out of my cold, dead virtual hands if you wanted me to give it up. ;) It does seem silly, I'll agree, but just a quick check showed that 'maitimo', 'nelyafinwe' and every other variation of maedhros is already gone. This saddens me.

Gah, I know. :( It's very very scary, really. But I just won't have time and if I did have time, I'd feel guilty for not using that time to study. I think I'm about to hyperventilate at the thought of it.

It's probably all those evil sorts who cottoned on to the "GJ is good for RPing" idea before we did. Damn them.

I'm more leaning towards staying on LJ for now.

I've browsed around a bit on GJ and the text ads annoy me already on the user-info page, the modify journal page, etc. Furthermore I'd have to think up new usernames for most of my puppets cause they're already taken and I really like the usernames I've currently got and don't want to change them.
And two, I'm lazy and even though I'm not active much I still find it a hassle to move everything to GJ. :p

On top of that GJ already pissed me off by giving my lots of Internal Sever-errors aka those Cannot display page errors, so I have to refresh a lot to be able to view things normally already.

So yeah, I'm voting no. ;p

You can remove the text ads so that's not a massive issue. It's really easy to do as well ( ... )

"haughty_elf" would be taken cause I did a pre-emptive strike and claimed that name just in case this plan goes through. :p

Yeah, I guess that would work but I really "peredhel"as Elro's username and I am loth to change it. As for Elrond, that is one username I might change. "eyebrow_of_doom" comes to mind. :p

On LJ I haven't had any trouble with internal server errors, just on GJ.

Ah, right. Thought that was an odd name to be taken up. ;)

Gah. I get them all the time. Eaten comments, "database unavailable", "comment not posted" messages when they have posted, never mind the times when the site dies completely. I just expect better for something I'm paying for.

Anyway. Sleep on it. I won't put up a poll until I know everyone's read this.
