I can see several characters working here, actually, but ... I think in the end I'm going to go with Shianni. You come across as a very vital character, which she is - she's very determined to make things better for the city elves, and she won't shut up about it even if it hurts her. But she's also necessarily untrusting, I think, precisely because of the nature of the way elves are treated in the Dragon Age world. She's aggressive if there's a goal she's shooting for, but at the same time I don't think she's the sort of person to go around picking fights without just cause - in game, when she objects to something, her fears are usually well-founded. As an elf, she'd definitely agree with you on not wanting to be taken advantage of. She's also independent in the same way that you are - she can take care of herself, but she hates feeling like she's relying on others.

Leliana is the character I kept on thinking of throughout this (minus the whole hearing voices aspects of her character, of course), particularly if you choose to renew her faith. She's quite determined when she puts her mind towards something and enjoys helping people, and while she is usually willing to give someone a chance, she doesn't fully trust people at first. She refuses to tell you part of her background initially, and out of the party members, you have to get her approval rating the highest if you want to have a relationship with her... and considering how she was hurt in the past by those closest to her, it's not a stretch to guess it's not just due to the chantry bit. She expresses a bit of indecisiveness at times as well, which actually leads to the reason why the main character can influence her character growth to a degree. While I wouldn't describe her as unforgiving (though she was in her past to a degree, at least in the DLC where you get to play through her background), if someone does hurt her, she is incapable of ( ... )

I want to go with Shianni. She's reluctant to rely on others due to mistrust (and with the way elves are treated, you can hardly blame her). She's very loyal to the few she does trust, though. But when it comes to everyone else, she's not going to be as forgiving. Gah, I'm failing at describing her. What I'm trying to get at is her wariness around those she doesn't know or trust.

The first character that came to mind was Wynne.

She's considered a "motherly" character in that she tries to help and/or advise others (particularly the main character and Alistair). You state that you're helpful/loyal to those that you care for and/or respect. Wynne values compassion. You sound similar, especially in your answer to the bandit question. Tell them to provide for their families more honorably in the future, yet give them food if you're able to spare it? Yeah, very her. (Another example would be how you answered the powerful ally question. I highly doubt she'd want such an ally if said ally planned to sacrifice others). I could also see many of your "Are you more..." answers working for her. In addition, she does strike me as the kind of woman who could be Neutral Good from the sound of her personality. I also see her as a more determined duty-focused individual as opposed to a fun-focused one.

Ah, well...after reading up on both their characters--I could honestly see where both the Shianni and Leliana votes are coming from (I could see some Wynne too at times {along with perhaps some Alistair}, but certain aspects of her personality that I know about from shamelessly reading spoilers, lolz has me somewhat hesitant to vote her).

The reasoning behind the Leliana vote was described wonderfully by the_404_error so I'm not entirely sure there's much to add there: she can be determined and stubborn, likes helping people without feeling like she's been taken advantage of, can be rather independent at times, can be somewhat sarcastic with her sense of humor, and isn't completely open with others until she has reached a point where she feels she can be comfortable around them and trusts them more. I could see her in how you answered the "Are You More..." section rather well from what I know about her character, and I imagine she probably would perhaps have the same reactions you did to the power-hungry ally and bandit scenarios too. She also ( ... )
