I might be off since it's been years since I played this game, but my first impression is Rhyme, with some Shiki. Ryhme is kind, likes to help other, a bit naive, and I think her positive traits fits well. I can see her as well in those situational type of questions! :D
I can see a lot of Rhyme and Nao, but I'm leaning most towards Shiki overall. She loves helping others, but she's more prone towards being stubborn and hot-headed than the other two. She's cheerful (usually), creative (when it comes to designing clothes), and a great number of your interests fit hers very well. She is reserved deep inside, but can act outgoing. Emotional, peaceful, insecure, neither too strong of a follower or leader... pretty much your entire this or that section fits her very well. She definitely wants to get to know her partner better, wishes for more strength and confidence considering her relationship with her friend, and is likely to realize that not every human is going to be nice, but she still likes people as a whole aside from the jerks of the world.
I'll just bold the aspects that fit you from the descriptions, before elaborating further, yeah?
Shiki tries her best to help others. If she has something to say, she won't hesitate to say it. She always acts kind and positive. Despite the happy attitude she likes to show, Shiki feels inferior or useless to others, which make her jealous of her idols. While these feelings haunt her for a time, she eventually tries her best to not let these feelings affect her and turns them around into positive ones. She is an amazing seamstress and wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up.
Now, doesn't that sound familiar? You want to make everyone smile. Check. You're generally motherly and compassionate to people. Check. You have an insecurity complex and you're emotionally scarred. Check.
And the way you responded to the questions about The Game? So Shiki. She was the one that tried to reach out to Neku first, before getting rebuffed. The leisure activities, too, sound like something she'd like.
I can definitely see some Rhyme and Nao, but I think I'm leaning the most towards Shiki as well. Shiki's a very strong dreamer, is stubborn, likes to help others, can be hot-headed at times but overall very friendly. She's more timid than she lets on, but is easy to get along with...and has learned that, while the world can be both wonderful and painful, it is best for her to try to make a place for herself in it. She has low self-esteem, but she's working on improving that. Your Positive/Negative traits fit really well for Shiki overall...and while I wouldn't necessarily call her "reserved," Shiki isn't super outgoing in comparison to some of the other characters either (although she has her moments!). She can be calm or energetic depending on how excited she is; is cautious for the most part; emotional; peaceful; insecure; not really a leader or a follower; and is more realistic overall. Shiki is all for trying to get along with her partner in The Game and offers more of a supportive role...and she's all for going shopping too
( ... )
I'm seeing a lot of Shiki. She loves cheering people up and generally looks on the positive side of life. She's definitely not cheerful to the point of being naive, but when the chips are down she's the best person to make you smile. Your "either/or" answers reminded me a lot of her, too. Shiki is compassionate and understanding, but also a realist. You both show a willingness to work with others and make the best out of a situation.
