I was not expecting to hear about this, er, ever. But Stuart is now super-excited. I have a feeling we'll be here on release day. We both met in Final Fantasy XI, so there's ( Read more... )

That looks really cool, but it's also kinda depressing for me. I haven't done everything I want to do in FFXI, and with the masses moving to a completely new game, it's unlikely I'll ever get all of the storylines done.

It's kind of unfair, since they're still in the midst of releasing a 3-part expansion for FFXI -- unless I can stay home and play the game for a living, I won't get to see all of that storyline either. And the storylines are my favorite part of the it all. T.T I don't have a problem missing out on colluseum (sp), ballista, chocobo raising/racing, and leveling the various jobs that have come out since Zilart.

Also, since I -have- played FFXI for like 5-6 years and dumped so many hours into it, starting all over will feel like it was a lot of level grinding and fetch-questing spent on nothing. Ah well - that very well be the case of all MMOs.

Ah well, enough whining from me! We shall see how this new chain of events develops. ^^

It's likely that I'll be right there alongside you. Try to play on a US server? This is relevant to my interests even if it's PS3 only.

Stu and I are probably going to want to stay on the European servers, but that will be much easier to work around in getting you a European copy.

We will work something out. Oh yes we will.

Oh boy, a bullshot "trailer"! Also the art design is...wow, why don't they just call it "Final Fantasy XII: Online", seriously. I mean, I have nothing against that, but that's what it looks like. Still, I do hope it is good. Would be willing to try it.
