Poor Lorne. I had thought maybe this would trouble him, but not to the extent he described. I guess I figured Lorne would find the lounge limelight and sing a tune to help himself move on. And that was a lot shallower sounding now after what he had just told us ( Read more... )

"Yeah, what he said. And at least you killed Lindsey. At you least you didn't kill..." I paused, unable to say her name. I no longer wanted to kill myself, but it didn't mean that my heart was any lighter. It was so heavy, like a ten ton lead weight in my chest.

"You know who I killed, who I had a hand in killing no matter what anyone says. I might as well have cracked that sarcophagus open for her. You don't have to live with that in your heart for the rest of your life. You should feel lucky."

I didn't mean to come down on him, but killing Lindsey would be a pleasure for me. Killing Fred...I would never get over that.

Gunn was still awfully hard on himself. I guess all this bloody free time gave him nothing else to do but think about what happened to Fred. I wanted to tell him it wasn't his fault, but he didn't want to hear so I wasn't going to say it. Instead I addressed who Gunn was talking to ( ... )

Spike's words were blunt, and they came slamming into me like a 3 tonne sack of bricks. My presence here would be useless if I decided to stick around for a free ride ( ... )

I didn't know what to say, I just sat there in awe..there was one thing that was bothering me though. Who was Lindsey? I wanted to ask, but I didn't know if it was the right time. I decided that I should know who this person was since I was working for Angel and all.

"Umm who was Lindsey?"

I asked softly scared I was going to get yelled at.

We were talking, and everyone noticed when that girl Angelina left. I wondered what was up with her? Of course, we were all talking about stuff we had gone through in the past, I guess that had to be awkward for someone who hadn't been there.

I got and left when Angel asked me to, being that it was daylight and surely Lorne shouldn't go after her in his state. I raced out to the parking lot, seeing her walk up to a car, probably her car.

"Hey, Angelina...everything alright? We didn't mean to chase you off, girl. Sorry about that."

I Looked at him as I shut the door to my car. I rolled down the window and looked up at this fairly nice looking man that seemed to have a lot on his mind.

"It's ok. I know I won't be a regular part of your group. I mean you all have a thing...a connection, I won't have that with you being as I am coming into the game really late. Like I said, I can deal with that."

I said this softly.

"I was just going to let you all be and I was going to go to my other job and check if I have any leases to finalize."

"Alright, then. Just wanted to make sure you were okay. We were all concerned, you know."

I smiled at her, she was a pretty girl, and now I was remembering she was with that Leo guy. Weren't they any single girls around here for a lonely brother?

"Well, I guess I'll go back inside now. See you later, Angie. I can call you that, right?"

I look up at him.

"You can call me that yes. Gunn is it? Will I ever have a chance at being a part of the team? Or am I always going to just be vision girl who also happens to be a slayer, a sucky slayer, but a slayer no less."

I just wondered and I figued he was the best to ask.
