I whipped around and looked at the blue thing that stood before me.

"I..I didn't think she would die, but she matters to Willow and that makes it so she matters to me."

I said then looked away. I was worried about more than Tara. I hadn't seen Angie and Julie looked upset none of this would work out well and I didn't like that.

The child told me that, if someone matters to Willow, than they matter to her. She looked away from me, but I was not finished...her answer had interested me, and I wanted to know more.

"Why?" I aked, puzzled. "You care for someone, yet you do not know them. I do not understand." I said, wondering if this was how all humans behaved. I seemed to remember Fred thinking the same way, caring too much about people she knew little of. But...why?

"It is how people are. If you have a friend and they have another friend that matters to them then you being the friend to the person would care for their friend...and wow that was confusing. What I am saying is this. Say Dawn is my friend and she has is friends with Piper..then I being Dawn's friend would also care about Piper because Piper matters to Dawn. Because if something happened to Dawn's friends it would hurt her and I don't like my friends hurt."

I said that firmly

"Since Willow is a friend to my sister she is a friend to me and that means when she is happy I am and when she is upset, like when she sees you in her friend's body then it hurts me."
