[The feed snaps on, but it shows no one. Instead, it pans around the horizon, taking in the surroundings. Someone's using it as a video camera, more or less.]

Wouldja look at that. First new sight I've seen in years. I dunno what's goin' on, but I guess my journey's not over.

[The harder Tidus fights it, the more stubborn the tears seem to become, blurring his vision and threatening to spill from his eyes. He ducks his head, ashamed, before looking at Jecht head on. The numbness in his voice is a glaring contrast to the distraught look on his face.]

[Wait, did his sphere just...]

[Naw. Naw, it couldn't -- but damn. That isn't the kid he remembers. Time's passed. The kid'd be about that old, now.]

[Either this is a crazy joke... and after Spira, Zanarkand, Sin, everything, this was a hell of time for the crazy things to start being jokes. Or...]

[Jecht throws back his head and laughs.]

After everything that happened, you're cryin' in my sphere.

[He picks the device up to appraise the image in it.]

And you're still all bones. Hah.

[So he doesn't remember. Tidus knows about it, the different timelines. He figures that's what's happened with his old man. He glares into the sphere with the same retort he always uses.]

I hate you.

[He doesn't want to do this again. Before, there wasn't enough time. He doesn't want to think back to before. He hates thinking back to how it all went down, and it's still too recent. Do things get better in time? They didn't seem to for all the people he met.

Maybe now, he can confront him again. On his own terms. Even now, it's hard to keep meeting Jecht's eyes, but he does it anyway.]

Well how should I know? I close my eyes for one minute and here I am! Some town, I guess. Looks more like Spira than Zanarkand.

Huh. I saw the spheres they used as cameras back in Luca, but I didn't know ya could use ones this small for 'em.
