[The feed cuts open to lots of warking and....a poor blonde pulling a chewed up blue crayon from a curious baby Chocobo chick. There are about as many as there are colors of chocobo in the room, and crayon wrappings litter the floor. Her pictures are off the walls, hidden safe from the curious birds' beaks. Although they are cute and adorable and ( Read more... )

I don't know where the birds came from, but I do know they're called chocobos.

...They're trying to eat your crayons?

Chocobos...that's a...silly name for them. [Pulls a yellow-feathered chick away from the Mognet, placing it in a higher location...and it shows all of the chicks just milling around and being silly little chocobochicks]

...Yes. I think they aren't fully grown yet, so they don't know any better...but...I've never dealt with something like this before, Kairi. I'm not scared, but as far as I know...[She reaches for something beyond the mognet and holds up the bitten remains of her blue crayon with a weak smile] I need to buy some new crayons after the birds go away...

That'd be a good idea. [She frowns a little at the crayon, and then shrugs.]

Well I bet it's always nice to have a new set anyway, right?

They're really sweet though. Like...little children, or new Dusks. [Or something along those lines. She puts down the crayon so a black-feathered one can occupy her lap] Do you...think we can keep them? I'll...buy a set after the event, but...I'd like to keep at least one of them...they really are cute.

I've discovered that there are various worlds with chocobos, including mine.

Really? And..they're all different colors? Like these? [Because she's moved her mognet she doesn't have to worry 'bout it being eaten, and she's sitting on the floor surrounded by the chicks. The blue-feathered Chocobochick barrels right into her suddenly, and she almost falls backwards but manages to catch it and start stroking its soft fluffy head while it 'warks' happily] Do...you think some of them will stay here? Or will they have to leave as...sudden as they came?

They're not quite this colorful in my world.

[She winces a when she sees the girl might fall, but smiles when the chocobo warks.] I hope they stay.

Sorry, but I dunno. I've never seen 'em before, either. [He frowned, rubbing the back of his head.]

Needs some help, though?

It's okay. They seem to be okay aside from wanting to eat my crayons...[offers a little smile] I don't think I'd need help right now...but it's appreciated. I'm in room 10 right now...the door should be unlocked

Kay, I'll be right over! [He offers a smile, then cuts off his mognet.

He had been out in the town, so after a quick stop in the store to grab a new box of crayons, he made his way back to the hotel. He quickly found her room and knocked, putting the new box behind his back. It had to be a surprise, of course!]

[She waits for the mognet to cut off and then puts her own on a sort of 'mute' state--As in sleep mode, if possible. (It cuts itself off automatically in her distraction with the chicks).

When he knocks all the chicks stop chirping, staring at the door intently. One chick, then the other, and soon all of them arrive at the door, bumping against it and warking collectively at whatever or whoever had knocked.] E-easy, guys...Come in and please be careful about the chocobos! [She has to speak louder to reach whoever is behind the door; the chicks are a bit loud!]

Hmmmm that's weird that they're mother isn't there. Do you want any help wrangling them up? Before they cause anymore damage to your things.

...I think I will be okay. The other papers are higher up and right now they... [Okay the little chicks seem to notice that the blondes attention is not on them and the noise dies down, and Namine can be heard easier now. Yay] ...They seem to be calmer now...and are the mother birds mean? This...is the first time I've ever seen such creatures...
