I'm kind of scared after this last election.

I'm scared that everything might go democratic.

Not a knock on democrats or anything, it just never makes for a good country when everything is in the hands of one party.

you have way too much faih in the ability of the democrats to work together effectively to achieve their agenda.

i think that is part of the reason liberals and democrats were so mad at republicans was that they rub in our faces with their ability to do things seamlessly.

even if we have a democratic president and a democratic house and a democratic congress and a democratic senate, the right will still win things some of the time for the single reason that we as democrats are as scatterbrained and effective as a golden retriever at a whistlers convention.

my advice if youre afraid for republicans, is join one of their newsletters and see how much theyve got their shit together and then look at the democrats trying really hard not too look retarded.

theres a difference, i promise.

Just saying, up until this point the entire system has been run by republicans. This is the first time in 6 years there has been a democratic majority in the house, and in the senate. If you think things are bad now, they probably get better, if it goes all democrates. And if you think things are good now they probably won't get way way worse. Either way, we'll survive.

How exaclty do you suppose things are going to get better?

The only 3 things that the democratic party seems to actually be saying (indirectly or not) that they're going to to do is;

1)End war. Sounds like a great idea, but who the fuck has got an idea how? A GOOD idea.

2) Higher taxes. Yes, the democratic party does very good looking out for the little guy, theres no dispute in that. And there going to hopefully put into effect higher taxes = better schools, more money for poor.

BUT

3) Highering minimum wage. Looks great on paper. But with higher taxes, a high minimum wage doesnt mean shit, you're still paying the same amount of money, or maybe even more.

Plus with the leaving of John Edwards, theres no attractive democrats.

And, I have no real problem with democrats.

Its just never good to have a country run in the hands of one party. You need two parties in there so one can go, "Wait, what the fuck are you talking about?"

You didnt really have to jump down my throat there buddy. I was just saying, you said "It's never good when the congress is controlled by all one party," And I looked it up actually and the last time the democrates held all of congress was 1994. In the second term of clintons run the republicans took power and then everybody started to care that "sleeps around," LOL. I was just meeringly pointing out that your original statment was slightly awkword because the Republicans have been in controll of congress for the last 12 years so for the last 12 years congress has been controlled by all one party. Further more I am just saying, I made a rather light comment with good nature not really expecting anything of it, if you want to bring up campaign issues, you should use ones that are ligit, not just rediculas ones used to bring people to the polls, be it positve or negative. The only way to find the actual democratic stratiges is to find there current mission statements for the next annual session. And anyways the only freaking point is ( ... )
