So my grandmother, who is a very small person, maybe five feet tall, wants a lap blanket. A few days ago, I cast on without swatching, as is my wont. Lions Brand homespun on huge circulars-- I couldn't really tell how wide it was going to be until I had gotten about seven inches in length

Nine feet! You are my idol! I think I'm going to make my dad a blanket for christmas and I'm sure it'll take me the whole three months.

I need to give myself a chance on circulars -- circusgirl is bad ass with them, but I cart my knitting around with me a lot, and I haven't figured out a way to make it worth.

haha...I never do it either....so far, it has yet to bite me in the butt too terribly, but I'm sure I'll learn my lesson one of these days
