Scanty is a character that's best viewed through the scope of high school stereotypes, since it tends to fit her the best. In another series, Scanty might be the distinguished rich girl with many friends, despite her strict nature. Scanty does fit that rich-girl stereotype to a tee, but in Panty & Stocking, the fact that she's a demon also factors heavily into who Scanty is.

But as the rich high school girl, Scanty is quite comfortable despite it being a "cover." She's prim, proper and elegant and rarely speaks crudely. Scanty is the beautiful and refined young lady who is used to the rules of a strict upbringing and will pass them onto others, whether they want it or not. In nearly all areas, Scanty excels. Some of those given in the series include etiquette, appearance, class, athletics, family background, academics, vision and hearing. She's the kind of person that, given a task, will give her absolute best to accomplish it to perfection.

Yet, Scanty is an arrogant control freak. One of the sister's catchphrases of (ruru)rules attests to this. In any situation, Scanty likes to be on top and have people serving below her. The rules that she and her sister set are almost always tilted to their favor, yet they honestly perceive them as fair. For some, they're more than willing to follow the rules that Scanty and Kneesocks set down, since their favor is something extremely beneficial to have. After all, not following those rules tends to bring out that demonic side.

In conflict, Scanty is absolutely vicious. She has no problems with bringing her enemies down, whether it's a physical fight or one of wits and manipulation. She'll use her advantages without so much as a thought, yet, she does tend to fight fairly. Thus, it's a shock when the Anarchy sisters don't. Scanty may inflict unfair rules, but she does follow the ones set before her, including things like "hey if you have a hostage, don't just be like 'fuck it' and let him get killed."

Also unsurprisingly, Scanty is a sore loser. If things turn against her, she'll tend to run away and explain it as a rule or that she had actually won and the other party is just confused. She hates losing and holds a vicious grudge against those she loses against. It's also in these situations when the normally charming and calm will give way to a very crude anger. She'll curse and lose any senses of being that proper young lady, usually until Kneesocks reminds her that there are appearances to keep. Though, she's also a sore winner, when it comes down to it. The downfall of her schemes tends to be that she gets too excited about her success before it's been completed, which ruins them. She'll also boast in someone's face about her success. So either way, she's kind of a bitch.

Scanty herself would never see herself in such a way, though. As far as she's concerned, she and her sister are perfect, and everyone else is a flawed being waiting for the salvation of their rules. Well, maybe not quite to that extent, but she does think of herself as better as everyone else. She's not humble, but will give off the appearance of being humble around others. And because she's a demon, she feels very self assured of this as a fact. Panty & Stocking has an obvious religious tie, but the details of it are left purposely vague. As a demon that fights against angels, she very firmly believes that her side is the "right" one, even if she may not agree with her superiors and their fetishes all the time...

Overall, Scanty is a much nicer character than her angel counterpart, Panty. She may have a mean and vicious streak, but this only tends to come out when provoked. Otherwise, she's polite, but arrogant, and professionally friendly to humans even though she tends to dislike them. They're nothing but servants to her, so she tends to appreciate a male entourage to surround her and her sister when they can have it. She's charming and animated, despite her being a demon.

So, if you can get past that, she's a nice enough girl. Otherwise, you're probably an angel and she hates you anyways!

To be honest, the only person Scanty shows an affection for in the series is her sister, Kneesocks. And due to a certain scene in episode 12, it's a very special sort of affection. So Scanty is at least interested in her sister when drunk! Otherwise, it seems like Scanty was at least willing to be intimate with Brief to use his penis as a key. Yeah, this series is special. So tentatively, she's bisexual.

Scanty is the older of the Demon sisters, and has the figure to match it. She's busty and more curvy than Kneesocks, but like her sister, has red skin and horns. But rather than Kneesocks' single horn, Scanty has a pair that protrude from the top sides of her head and poke out through her long, green and wavy hair. She also has yellow eyes.

Like the angel sisters, Scanty is able to use her underwear to make weapons. In her case, she can use her double thong (or whatever) to make a pair of demonic revolvers. Which she's affectionately named Double Gold Lacy Tanga.
