Oh I loved the way you addressed the prompt, I'm not sure why, because it seems like the obvious way now but it isn't an approach that I ever would have thought of, and it was such a lovely story-

I loved the way you dealt with Remus and Sirius both, Remus so carefully controlled and Sirius getting angry even while he's feeling something else entirely beneath it all.
You didn't make Sirius too compassionate or kind in the conversation in the great hall and I liked that, because I always think that he is that little side of brash.
And Remus crying! There is something so much sadder when Remus cries, or when anyone so composed breaks down, and the way he explained the stories from his mother and the guilt it had placed on his was so perfectly thought out. It rang true and close and I guess that means you did your job!

And the ending was lovely, a charming, neat finish to a sweet little story <3

This was both impossibly sad and utterly adorable. The interaction between both boys was written extremely well. Thank you!

Aw. So sweet at the end. In the beginning Sirius was just digging a whole but then you gave the background with the kiss and avoidance and both of their reluctance and awkwardness made so much sense. I also liked the telling of stories by Remus' mother and by Sirius and how stories affect us and how we use stories to cope or to comfort and different interpretation to the same tale. And the end was filled with so much hope. Sirius found all the right words then.

Wonderful work! This is sweet and heartbreaking and all kinds of lovely. I love how you portrayed all the different kinds of painful awkwardness, but beautiful excitement that come along with being a teenager: how to cope with the first big losses and grievances, the loss of innocence but the gaining of maturity (James' reaction is a perfect example for this) and the fumbling with the changed status of their relationship. I enjoyed this very, very much.

An accurate description of the mother and son relationship when the child suffers an acute and incurable illness, wrapped in a touching story of love between friends and their hopes for more. The way Sirius told his story is the most charming piece of fanfic I've read, for any fandom.
