Because I miss these two

There is a new wind in the trees.
The seasons are turning.
And all creatures, breathing in that air, are made ripe for change.
Beneath the golden boughs they walk together-Man and Elf, together. Not quite hand in hand they go, but it is no idle chance that now and ( Read more... )

She's humouring him, but in a way that he knows it and yet continues, because he loves her and she loves him. Or at least they will, as they build this bridge between hearts, minds and souls.

I love this piece and must tell you a short story of an adventure I had in Middle-earth in Lotro (an online Lotr game) where I had to climb Cerin Amroth and sit, watching the starlight and then the sunrise and remembering these two. Behind me on the knoll top were the hobbits and in the trees were Legolas, Gimli and Aragorn. But in front, in the shimmering green of the trees and mound were the memories of... Tolkien's words, and pictures of these two that no gamer ever wrote.

You picture fills in some empty spaces left by our dear Professor, and your words added colour. But the flowers in Arwen's hair, the excited look in Aragorn's eyes and face, are all you!

Oh my Gosh Miko, your comments just make me smile. Thank you.

And your description of your adventure in Lotro..just beautiul!

"You picture fills in some empty spaces left by our dear Professor, and your words added colour. But the flowers in Arwen's hair, the excited look in Aragorn's eyes and face, are all you!" -- *BIG HUG* -- I wish I can take credit for the lovely words but It was Dwimordene's "On Cerin Amroth" that inspired this drawing. But for the rest of your comment-- You just made me so Happy...THANK YOU.

Beautiful.I just love their expressions? May I add this to my site?

My take on the scene

“Sometimes my path seems very dark, my lady.”

“Look up and see our ancestor Gil Eärendil! While he lights the way and Lady Elbereth watches over us, we are never in darkness nor alone!” Her hand reached for his and he grasped it. “Lie down upon the grass and enjoy the beauty of this night!”

They said nothing more, but simply lay there hand in hand, watching the stars twinkle overhead. There was no sound. It was as if they were the only two awake that night upon Arda. As it grew chill, they huddled closer to each other. Arwen knew then, that this was how she desired to spend every night of her life, nestled beside this man who had stolen her heart.

Hi Linda!

Of course you can add this to your site.

The scene that you mentioned sounds so familiar. Why do I recall the both of them falling asleep and Galadriel coming upon them in the morning. Is this the same story? It really does fit the drawing! Thank you dear!
