Well, this was a rather clever snippet of the war. I sort of adored your OCs, they were lovely. And the way Remus and Sirius had been dancing around each other, the fear that they'll be separated by the war, the familiarity, it was just perfect. Especially all the little details, the way into the Nag's Head, the mint gravy, Remus being able to speak Welsh. It all just added up to be a lovely, rich, full story for such a small snippet of their lives. Wonderful job.

that was clever and different and infinitely compelling. everything from the setting (team place!) to the action to the intimacy worked perfectly to make this a truly fascinating piece to read and enjoy. it was also a great use of the prompt.

one of the things that i really loved was the way that you wrote the action and dueling scenes. though i am not a writer, i imagine that writing such things (quidditch, too) is really difficult, but you wrote them as well or better than rowling.

i also really loved the clever way you wove the progress of their relationship into a very fascinating story in its own right. that worked very well and it created a very nice balance with the whole story.

all in all this was exciting and entertaining and great fun to read. thank you, mystery author.

'“Great, so we all know each other? Fancy a pint? I know a great place-” Sirius started, biding his time while he formulated which impulsive maneuver he was going to go for that Remus disapproved of and would ultimately allow them to graze by just on the skin of their teeth.' -This! This summarises Sirius and Remus in action.

I must say, Glyn and Cledwyn were a very nice addition to this, kind of like how Remus and Sirius could be in the near future!Hehe! I loved the setting, the way Sirius notices Remus and how Remus misses his friends. The action scenes were epic and very very good, great job on those. Showing how Dumbledore planned out things and the boys being sick of the cryptic ways he operates, hah, good one!

Haha,Sirius and his mint gravy is just too good to pass up!!

I feel like I've not really read many fics that have the two of them properly working together in the time before things fall apart, so this was a really refreshing take on that period in canon. The setting was really vivid, the clifftop scene in particular I could really picture their surroundings. And always nice to see the protective streaks they both have!

This was a fic full of that distinct first war atmosphere, with the uncertainty, the frustration over secrecy and things being cryptic, and the clever use of artefacts and storylines we know from canon - yet at the same time it's a sweet story about two young men finally taking that step towards each other, and that combination worked wonderfully well. I adored Glyn and Cledwyn; I'd love to read more about them. I also loved how the story is so grounded in the place you've put the characters in, with the Welsh we see and how the Nag's Head and the village springs to life. Lots of great details that make it all very vivid. Lovely job, I had a great time reading this fic!
