Haven't seen you guys in awhile, hope all the cats are doing great. Our most recent additions to the odd menagerie are a couple of Fancy Rats, sadly our last hermit crab died a couple of days ago, but he wasn't having a very good life anyway, from what I could tell.
Tell the hubby hello from the rest of us. If Dannan's schedule ever becomes decent again, we'll have to try to get together one of these weekends.

As for your parents...I'm sorry. I didn't know about the abuse, but I know that it's not something that anyone should have to experience. Your mom has no right to make excuses for your dad's actions, and I don't blame you for severing ties with them. Just be thankful that you have plenty of friends and a loving husband to turn to in times of need.

Sorry that about your family, I never would've thought anyone would be capable of that. I guess it all comes down to that whole, "It can't happen to me or anyone I know" type of thing that life likes to make bite you in the ass.
Horribly classy of your mom to try and justify it. As if there is ever an excuse for that. *shakes head* Sorry it came to that, but it's probably the best thing for you to just seperate completly. Especially if they refuse to be responsible for it.
