I'm not going to be as thorough as susandennis, but I'm going to report on the new shows we checked out last night:

I keep passing over This is Us. I'm just not sure I'm up for that kind of emotional torture. I might just bank it for later watching or disposal.

i have found myself uninterested in any of the new season pilots. it should make it easier to cut cable when the tivo dies. (right now, i really need to make sure we watch doctor who legally since there's all this drama about the doctor being a woman. so we need cable + tivo this season.)

"A Million Little Things", which we watched last night, might make the cut.

Also, on less-new TV, specifically the season opener of The Resident: I tend to give shows like this a pass on plausibility, within limits, but that whole IT-hack business went way beyond those limits.
