Theme ideas!!! Let’s give ourselves until 2/9/2016 to add submissions and then make our choice by 2/14/2016.  Does that work for people?

1.  In Sickness and in Health: I pitched this two years back, too late for it to be considered. Since then, I have become even more attached to the idea. I know lots of people write and read fanfic because the ( Read more... )

This theme is also an interesting one, in that it is broad enough to leave interpretation to the author/artist. My one concern is that it may not be a "flashy" enough theme.

I like the idea of this theme, as it is broad enough that it doesn't "nudge" the participants in any particular direction (like say, something like literature or film - both of which I still like as themes btw - could do towards more AUs than Canon pieces). This could lend to a very interesting array of pieces, which of course depends on the quality of the prompts.

My one reservation about this theme is that it might be a bit... boring.

It occurs to me that this would be an apt theme if this were the last year for the Games, or the last year before the Games morphed into something new.

Totally! It would make a great transition theme.

I really like it, but I have a small reservation. I just fear it might produce an abundance of certain kind of works - or, perhaps, more to the point, an abundance of first kiss/first sex/first crush/first whatever works and sad, angsty "last" works. We could maybe mitigate that with prompts, though.
