It's great to get your take on this. We watched it, too, and I'm right there with you about Bradley Whitford. I like him, and on some level I think it was comforting to get a bit of the Josh vibe going on. I enjoyed Matthew Perry which brought be back to the WW episodes he did. I liked him in those a lot more than most things he's done.
Regarding Amanda Peet, I actually commented on how restrained I thought she was. I don't have a good feel for whether I liked her performance or not, but she usually grates on my nerves and hasn't so far. I'm looking forward to seeing where Sorokin is taking us.
