July is horrible

Today I opened up my paycheck expecting it to be the same amount it always is. Instead, it was much bigger! I asked if something was messed up and found out that we were all given raises with really no announcement. That was cool, I certainly didn't expect that! That's two decent sized raises in the last couple months

It's going to be really tough if the only thing you can do between visits with Amanda is wish you were visiting with Amanda.

The long-distance relationship is not an easy one, as the longing to hold and be with one another can threaten to overwhelm. all you can do, I'd say is to keep plugging away as best you can. If you find yourself thinking about her and just can't continue what you're doing, try perhaps writing a letter or email with your thoughts. Then, you can send it to her, or perhaps hold onto it for yourself and give to her when you see her again. It would be a written record of what your heart feels.

Maybe surprise her with a visit or two if you can manage it, but the toughest part of all is, don't let yourself become sad or depressed over it. The longing, the missing of the other person, it can eat away at you. You have to find ways to keep busy or to be constructive and pro-active about it.

Hang in there. Time will go faster if you keep busy. You'll see her soon enough.

It hasn't gotten to the point where I'm sad or depressed. Well, I was a little sad, but I'm doing okay.

Congrats on the raise. :) I almost got a paycut because they are redoing all of the clerical job descriptions, but my boss/supervisor said NO WAY!. I like her. :)

It's nice to see you so happy, even though you're sad that Amanda isn't there, but you're still actually happy. :)
