I did. You're missing out.

I'm only missing out if it improved at least 6000% over the demo that came with Dragon Quest VIII last year.

It has. I hated the demo, too. Really, I did. I thought it was terrible and I almost got too bored to finish it. And it's a DEMO. But the game is MUCH better. Combat makes sense, the voice acting is superb, and I haven't even really gotten into the meaty bits yet. I think you should rent it and try it out for yourself. (I can see being hesitant to buy it if all you've played is that lame-ass demo, but you were an administrator for a Final Fantasy site. At least give it a try. :P)

Heh, well, the real reason I won't be getting it is that I'm saving up money for something else. I know I'll play it eventually. I'm glad to hear that it's better than the demo though!

I'm tempted to delete this entry after Joel did the exact same thing. Gosh.

I'm sorry, man.

It's still way more interesting than Weasely's entry, though.

Who's Weasely? I missed that one I guess.

Lynx always called Raistlin that, I dunno, it stuck.

I didn't get it too, but someone at a party I was at had it! We saw the previews, it reminds me too much of 10 (the way things and people look, that is)

LOL :) Like I was saying in my reply to your response, it's actually quite interesting. :D Much like you, I've always been more of an old-school gamer, but I heard that FF12 has a lot of ties to FFT, so I'm really excited.

The battle system is an improvement... the way you purchase armor/equip/etc is pretty interesting, and so far, it almost feels like you're in this strange, Final Fantasy meets Star Wars kind of world.

My only gripe at this point in time (after playing about 3 hours of the game) is that it doesn't feel quite like Final Fantasy; it just feels like a really neat, new RPG. :\

Which is actually kinda a plus. FF standards kinda get old after awhile.

I'd say rent it RSL, you may like it. It's a solid game.

Eh, I'll probably buy it eventually.
