I'd claim a busy semester, but I suppose I mostly
haven't had anything to say.
The major work of this semester was about
eight poems. At the end of the day, I feel pretty good about them. They're not brilliant--not the sort of Elizabeth brilliant that actually makes a difference--but my professor encouraged me to submit to
Boulevard, which I might actually do. At the least, I'm planning on getting my submission together tonight, as the contest deadline is tomorrow. I get this puppy in the mail tonight, I might be $1000 clams richer, who knows?
I went over some thoughts on poetry and everything for the class, and I might just write them up for posterity. I'm also considering another short story exercise, just to keep the blood moving, but I'll keep everyone posted about that. (You know, all 1 1/2 of the people actually reading this.)
I've been developing something for Pat's
Oddgod online initiative, but I'm not sure how much of that's going to be vaporware on his part, or mine, for that matter. Either way, the development's been fun, so that's something.
What else? Moving soon, with Best Girlfriend Ever, so that's proceeding apace.
Oh, got the paperwork for the
Extended Teacher Preparation Program, so once I get that ironed out, I'll be doing that for the next two years, then trying to find a high school dumb enough to let me teach English. Yay, real people jobs, am I right?
Anyway, now with just work on my hands, I'm hoping that I'll be a little more thorough about posting interesting stuff here, and elsewhere. We'll see.
