Why the hell does the login screen insist on using QWERTY on first boot, but then switches to Dvorak after logging out? Is there some magical property of the first boot that lets it ignore my settings?

Also, why does the sound control panel ask to confirm removing sounds from some events!? Does Microsoft think I don't know the meaning of the word ( Read more... )

I installed the RTM build of Vista the other day. You should use that instead - it's even more confusing.

It really sucks when you have a dvorak keyboard... (or you rearranged your keys to be such) and you have to put in your password.

That's why I use the password that works in both layouts... "12345".

P.S. Seriously, at work I had "AmAm!234" because it was the same in both layouts.
