John Gruber's take on the blatantly obvious "analysis" of the iPhone, and the comments from the analyst's source - a Verizon marketing executive. Wait, so a price drop would make them sell better! DO GO ON!
What really got me about the dropping part is that it's actually unlikely to be true. When you drop an iPod the part that breaks is the hard drive. If you drop a nano what breaks? Probably nothing. Because it uses flash memory. Seeing as the iPhone uses flash too, it'll probably be as tough as any other smartphone.

End-users can fuck up anything on the market, of course--especially the kind of end-user who buys expensive 1st-gen hardware.
