Summary: Frustrating each other is their only purpose in life. That's what love is all about, right?
This cat was going to be the end of him; the thought of a bag and the river nearby was all too tempting, except he had someone else on his list he wanted to end first.
“Kim Heechul, I swear on this cat that if you don't pick up your pace things won't be looking good for either of you.”
The subtle threat only made Heechul slow down even more, narrowing his eyes as he crossed his bare arms over his chest. “And if I don't?”
“I'll throw this cat in the river,” Hankyung challenged, glaring down at the cat strutting through his legs and clawing at his shoes. “I mean it, I really will.”
Heechul shrugged. “Cats can swim.”
“Cats hate water,” Hankyung reminded.
“Doesn't mean they can't swim,” Heechul retorted.
Hankyung bit on his cheek, his brows furrowing furiously. “Not if I stuff your damn cat into this black bag.”
“That's what their claws are for, Hannie,” Heechul remarked, tossing his shoulder length hair over his shoulders. “Plus, what are you going to do with the jewelry inside the bag? Eat them?”
Honestly, Hankyung wanted to cry. “Will it kill you to just hurry up? We robbed a jewelry shop, Heechul, we aren't taking a walk in a park-”
“Actually,” Heechul lifted a pointer finger to the air, “we are.”
The foreign man glanced around, noting that they were indeed strolling in the middle of a seemingly abandoned park. “Just shut up, Heechul. Just keep those pretty, poisonous lips of yours shut. Why do I care? If you get caught by the police-”
“Which I won't,” Heechul added.
Hankyung ignored him. “If you get caught by the police, it's not my problem.”
“If I do get caught by the cops, you're taking care of Heebum,” Heechul yawned exhaustively. “The day won't come, but just for safety measures.”
The cat jumped out of no where and clawed at the ends of Hankyung's pants, his nails digging into the mans ankle, and Hankyung grunted in annoyance. “I'm not taking care of your stupid cat.”
“Yes, you are,” Heechul stated nonchalantly.
Hankyung shook his head. “No, I'm not.” He attempted at shaking the cat off of his leg, but the claws only dug deeper into his skin as the cat clung to him. “Like master, like pet,” Hankyung mumbled to himself.
“What?” Heechul rose a brow.
“I said your cat is just like you.”
Heechul looked down at his baby, watching as it nibbled on the laces of Hankyung's shoe, and perked both his brows. “Don't see what you're getting at. Obviously, Heebum's beauty doesn't compare to mine - Baengshin may have a chance - and he's no where near as smart as I-”
“You're both aliens with an attitude,” Hankyung interrupted, giving his leg an abrupt kick in another failed attempt of ridding himself of the cat. “Baengshin is the only one I consider normal, unfortunately.”
“You love me for it,” Heechul pouted.
Hankyung scoffed. “If that's what helps you get through the day, Heechul, then sure.”
“Take that back,” Heechul pursed his lips, quickening his pace to catch up to his partner in crime. He looked down at his cat and grimaced, a bit disturbed by the way his cat hung on to his man.
After realizing that Heechul was finally keeping up with his speed, Hankyung took advantage of the situation and began fast-walking, eventually breaking into a jog. “Why should I?”
“Because you do love me,” Heechul replied matter-of-factly.
“What makes you think that?” Hankyung asked.
Heechul reached out with a hand and grasped Hankyung by the shoulders, preventing Hankyung from going any further, preventing him from taking another step. “Everyone does.”
“Narcissist,” Hankyung laughed. He tried to brush Heechul's hand off of his shoulder but Heechul didn't budge. The man simply stared into Hankyung's face imploringly, his eyes round and wide - blinking at him and sparkling in the night without any effort.
Somewhere in the moment Heebum had disappeared - running off into a bush and watching his masters from afar.
“Let's go,” Hankyung finally broke the silence, the awkwardness, and pulled Heechul by the wrist.
Heechul shook his head. “We're not going anywhere until you clear this up.”
“Look, can we at least just get home first? I'm tired and annoyed and you're just making things hard on purpose,” Hankyung groaned impatiently.
Heechul quirked a brow. “I thought I was making things easy.”
“If this is what you consider easy, I'd rather have it hard then,” Hankyung replied.
“Yes, I'm sure you do,” Heechul teased, sizing Hankyung up with his eyes.
Hankyung blushed lightly. “Oh my- that's not what I was referring to, you freak.”
“I'd prefer to be called a pervert,” Heechul corrected.
“You would,” Hankyung rolled his eyes. “Let's go.”
Heechul laughed, giving in and following behind his foreign friend. They strode alongside one another, quietly, with hindered smiles on their faces. It was hard to see in the dark, waltzing in the middle of no where with no light, but Heechul felt safe.
No matter when or where, Hankyung made him feel safe.
He briefly wondered where his cat had run off to; hoping the cat hadn't really decided to jump into some river because he still needed this cat to annoy the china man for him.
“I really like you, Hannie,” Heechul stated out of the blue, leaning over slightly to brush shoulders with Hankyung and bending over to look up into Hankyung's face. “I really do.”
Hankyung nodded blankly, not really paying attention to or believing what Heechul was saying.
“Don't ignore me,” Heechul pursed his lip, linking his arm with Hankyung's.
“I'm not,” Hankyung replied tiredly, “it's kind of impossible to.”
Heechul agreed. “Do you like me back?”
“Heechul-”
“Just answer my question,” Heechul demanded, a bit irritated.
Hankyung laughed. “Yes, Heechul, I do. I mean, how could I not? You'd kill me. Either that, or your cats would.”
“I'm serious, Hankyung,” Heechul muttered, “can't you be serious for minute?”
“Ironic coming from you,” Hankyung remarked.
“Shut up,” Heechul pouted.
Hankyung looked over at the man and smiled, his hands reached over involuntarily and pinched Heechul on the cheek. Heechul frowned, shoving his hand away but holding it in his own hands. His hands were warm, soft, just like his cheek. “I like you, Heechul. If I didn't, I wouldn't keep you around.”
“You can't leave me,” Heechul croaked, “you're not allowed to, you know that?”
Hankyung nodded. “I won't. Never.”
“Good,” Heechul smirked. “I'm hungry. You're cooking something for me when we get back.”
“I'm tired-”
“I don't care,” Heechul narrowed his eyes.
Hankyung laughed. “Fine, fine.”
There was a brief moment of silence, the two walking hand in hand, before Hankyung broke it again.
“Can I cook one of your cats?”
“No. Why don't you cook your dog instead?”
“My dog's way better than your cats.”
“He wished he was.”
“Your cats wished they were.”
“Come on, Hannie, the whole world knows cats are better than dogs.”
“Yeah, that's why they call dogs 'mans best friend', right?”
“Shut up.”
Heebum shook his head, trolling behind his masters and wondering when they would grow up and stop arguing all time. Not that he didn't enjoy it. It usually guaranteed him a frustrated Heechul that snuggled with him on the bed, feeding him all types of foods he wanted.
The cat decided this actually wasn't a bad thing.
“You love me,” Heechul muttered one last time, glaring daggers in Hankyung's direction.
Hankyung laughed. “Yes, Heechul, I really do.”

Wow. Haven't written this couple in so long... miss them. T.T This sucked, I know.. but it's weird how the initial line Nyx assigned me was so perfect for the couple that Ciel assigned... (None of us talked anything out. Ciel randomly assigns us pairs in order of 1-4 and Nyx and I assign each other lines in order of 1-4 and we match them up accordingly..)
