kitchen toys...er, essentials

I admit it -- I love kitchen toys: microwaves, blenders, apple peelers, food processors, creme brule' torches. If it "helps" in the creation of food, I want it; I need it; I must have it. (Hi, I'm Bob and I'm a kitchen toy-aholic.) But the one I'm lovin' the most lately (actually, ever since I got it last year) is my Food

New Year's is the ONLY time I'll eat black-eyed peas. Tradition. And luck of some sort or another, I've forgotten which.

Both. The tradition is you eat black-eyed peas and greens on New Year's for luck/fortune: greens for "green" (currency) and peas for coins (i.e. gold/silver).
