When I was growing up, I wanted to be an astronaut. Turns out, my math distaste started because they taught the basics up on the chalk board, and would play "around the world" asking each child to answer the next problem...except, I couldn't see well enough either to learn or to answer, and so thought I was bad at math... that making the second reason why I couldn't.
