Winning the sickness lottery

After fighting off a virus for a month and thinking I was finally about rid of it, I got slammed on Monday. Bad enough that I called in sick to work on Tuesday and stayed home from rehearsal. Codeine doesn't do much to me. A bit sleepy and a little loopy, that's it. meh

I'm okay. Got the drugs and then slept the next day and a half. Rachel, my daughter, picked up the few things I needed afterwards.

WOW! You are now in the company of half my friends who got the official flu AND sinus infection and a few got pneumonia & ear infections! I feel soooooo lucky to have avoided all the extra crap! But very sorry for you to be sick. Get better soon! ummm enjoy the codeine.

Made it through more than half the rehearsal today, then asked the director to be excused before I overdid it. Tomorrow will be even better.

Strangely enough, codeine doesn't do much to me as far as side-effects go. Makes me a bit drowsy and my dreams a little non sequitor-ish. That's it.
