The headline says, "Poche competes in 'ruthless sport,'" but it's not talking about this weekend's epic battle on the gridiron. My cousin's son competes in the Bass Masters. Great story with lots of catch-y ( no pun intended) phrases!

I had no idea bass fishing was such a commercialized sport! I love this because it's entertaining AND I learned something. Thanks so much for posting.

Growing up in the Bible-belt section of Florida, where football is king, I had to laugh at the parenthetical that football is an offshoot of Southern Baptist. As for bass fishing, my brother, an avid fisherman, always jokes that those guys are always just a little out-of-touch with reality.

My dad watched the outdoor channel all day. :) I can kind of understand watching the shows where they edit an 8 hr day into a half-hour of clips, but the "live" action just makes no sense.
