I picture you putting an antenna with a flag on it on Ilya's hat so you can see where he is as he goes through the paths of snow. It must be nearly over his head!
I heard a meteorologist say that the Metro NY area is going to get more snow than the DC area this time around. We got nary a flurry last weekend, but it looks like we'll be hammered this time. Barb already has a snow day, Mayor Bloomberg has cancelled NYC schools for tomorrow, and we're anticipating Hal's school will be closed as well.
I'm hoping I get a snow day, too. It looks as though it's possible, which is partly good and partly bad. Gotta make up all those stops, you know.
After December's storm, I cut paths through the yard so Ilya could have somewhere to go, because he's just too small to thrash his way through 16 inches of snow. I did some of that this time, too, but a lot less because there was more snow this time, and it was sitting on top of what was left of the 7 inches we got on Jan. 30. So Sunday and Monday when there was little car traffic, I simply let him go out in the road, which got plowed in the wee small hours of Sunday morning, and again for real Sunday afternoon.
