Tyler came through his surgery fine. He got through faster than they thought it would take to do both eyes. Then he shook off the anethesia in 20 minutes instead of the 1-2 hours they thought it would take.

All in all, it was a traumatic experience... no matter what anyone says... I still feel like someone put me in an emotional blender and hit

Tomorrow morning... at 10:30 am they will be starting to cut into Tyler... Wish me luck. This would be a hell of a lot easier to survive if there were going to be someone there I could lean on.

Okay. Went in for the follow up appointment today. The outcome is "You're not great, but you're not bad either." So, there's been improvement. I'm not on the "permanently disabled" list at the moment, but I'm definately on the "things will not be the same" list.

Update on my mother, her hemoglobin had gotten down to 6. Which basically means her blood couldn't carry enough oxygen to her system to support brain functions. Hence the dementia that set in yesterday. More information as it comes in... they have her scheduled for screening for stomach cancer next.

I just got the phone call from my dad. My mother is on her way to the ER in the ambulance.

Is it a bad thing that I'm taking the prescribed amount of Lortab and Advil and am still feeling pain? I know I've been told not to worry about the occasional chest pains and the continual throbbing I'm feeling but this is bugging me. Especially since I'm now going from getting up and being light headed cause my blood pressure is too low to ( Read more... )
