These stories of yours always ring so true. Are you going to make Reid go to an elementary band concert? I would love it!
Our school district requires school buses or charter buses for all field trips. Thank goodness I never had to deal with a barfing kid, and thankfully my kids have now outgrown needing parent chaperones.

When I was thinking of this story I had Holden in Kentucky looking at horses. I realize I forgot to write that in. Oops!
To me Lily was always about Lily, and I can't even imagine her driving on a field trip. LOL! Thank God for Emma or the kids would starve!
There may be a band concert in their future. I think that I would have to add in some beginner violin players as well. Imagine the horror!!
When I was a kid it was always buses for field trips, but apparently using parent drives is a lot cheaper, so that's what we have now!
Thankfully, my children have now outgrown the need for parent chaperones too!

And Lucinda showing up was so funny--poor teacher!
Glad Luke will "pay" Reid for his help. LOVELY!

Reid will do anything for Luke!!
I'm glad that you liked Lucinda's appearance. The poor teacher had no idea what she was up against!
Luke will definitely pay! LOL

Even if the state of Illinois doesn't require a criminal background check, I would imagine that Oakdale, Home to Criminal Masterminds and Nutcases, probably would. And before I read your author's note, I had just assumed that the criminal background check was something Luke had done during his research on Noah's doctor.
Reid knew a lot about the various sea animals that they were looking at and occasionally mentioned how tasty one or another was to eat. *SNORT*

I love cranky Reid! I also really like Reid stepping up for Luke, just being someone that Luke can always count on!

Reid sees food wherever he is!!
Thanks again!

You write that family unit so well I'm really touched that you enjoyed this!
I like to imagine them doing somewhat ordinary things!

It's hard to imagine that Ethan's school could come up with enough drivers at all if they were requiring background checks. Doesn't everyone have a record in Oakdale? ;)

You're probably right that they would never be able to find enough clean drivers. LOL
