I identify with your fics so much (although I'm not as domestic as Luke). I have trained my kids to sign up for Rice Krispies. I fell off my chair at that part. This was a fun story.

Reid didn't get roped into anything too horrible this time. All he had to do was stand back and admire the awesomeness of Luke.

I'm not very domestic, I often say that cooking is my one domestic skill!

As I was delivering the food, I saw one of my daughter's friends carrying a box of Rice Crispies, I had no idea that that was an option. I would have signed up for that for sure!

Yup, they always said what a great father Holden was, but they never really showed it except as you said in the event of a crisis. IMO the everyday parenting stuff just never happened.

I think that Luke would have been there to support his siblings. Esecially Ethan and Natalie because they were the youngest. Luke suffered through Lily/Holden, etal and I think that he would have done his best to spare them some of the pain that he suffered. JMO

Reid loves Luke, all of Luke and he might not understand all of Luke, but he would support and appreciate the awesomeness of Luke!

The food sounds delicious and I love Big Brother Luke and how much Natalie and Ethan appreciate him. Also love how well Reid slots into the family with Ethan well-aware of the risks of food not lasting in Reid's presence and Natalie making a point to invite him to her class.

Love the sense of history with Luke carrying on Emma's traditions and picking up the slack when she's off caring for NutMeg.

The Holden-bashing and Lily-bashing was a hoot!

I am a big fan of Big Brother Luke, and I think that Ethan and Natalie would appreciate him because Lily/Holden are so useless. Bash bash bash I can't help myself. LOL

I think Reid would slot in because it would be important to Luke, and we all know Reid would do anything for Luke! i also think that children are easier to deal with. No small talk and no BS.

I'm glad that you liked the sense of history. I think that Luke would try to keep Emma's traditions going, in her absence.
