We got a flat on the way home tonight. Ran right over this thing that looked like fabric but apparently wasn't (big clunk and an 'OH SHIT!') and at any rate I couldn't have swerved anyway, being in rush-hour traffic and boxed in on all sides

Yeah, if you look at your car registration fee, that's where it all comes out of. I'm finding in my old age, I have a tendency to be fiscally conservative and socially liberal. whereas before i was all liberal all the time. This is steve by the way... suck it.

Well yeah, obviously it comes from taxes. No one's naive enough to think government services come from the sky. I just think it's nice that at least a small percentage of it isn't thrown into a black hole.
